Phillip Anthony

Phillip Anthony

Born in Glendale, California, Phillip's family moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho at an early age. Phillip's development was subtly starting with drawing and sketching as he grew up. He was drawn to traditional black and white photography and the process of working in a dark room. Moving to Florida to be a film director, he was pulled towards cinematography focusing on composition and lighting.

Phillip's walk toward fine art was a great turning point in his life. Responsible yet searching for a deeper meaning and purpose in his mid-20s, Phillip literally stumbled into a local gallery in Orlando one night. For the first time, he was surrounded by artists who were painting live. Weekends of partying turned into weekends of painting, which turned into painting daily. In only several months, Phillip was creating photorealistic portraiture paintings using watercolors and acrylics.

The challenge began about a year into painting. Galleries were astonished by his ability and the fact that he was an artist that had only been painting for one year. Their objections were all the same, "We love your work but it has to be in oil," and "it has to be more than a pretty face." Phillip's response was, "I have no idea how to paint in oil... but I can figure it out."

Gaylord Ho

Gaylord Ho

Gaylord Ho visiting Bellagio international gallery is always a great pleasure to have the famed artist talking about his bronze art and his parian sculptures. Gaylord's always excited to talk about a new piece being famous for his angels with perfection in their hands and faces. This is a master sculptor at work.

World renowned for his piece that he created for the Vatican "Grace leads me home." This was done for Pope Benedict XVI on his 80th birthday and presented and held on the steps of Saint peters Basilica in front of tens of thousands of people who gathered for the popes Wednesday blessing.

This sculpture relates to the famous piece that is in most the key fine art galleries. "Transcendence" another spectacular sculpture. This piece is usually in a marbled trademarked patina. Staring into a bright light shining on the face and dimming onto the body of the Angel.

Similar patina is done on his three angel sculpture known as "Celebrations." Three graceful angels celebrating the trilogy of emotion, joy honor and praise.

One of his most prestigious pieces is "Vision" holding the crystal ball seeing the past, present and future.

Advait Kolarkar

Advait Kolarkar

If there was a monarchy for colours and colours only, Advait would be its prodigal caliph. Such a comparison is only befitting to the seven-year-old who started painting since he was not even a year old. He channelizes this fantastic imagination through the canvas in colours and combinations that are well beyond his years. The word "prodigal" fits his passion in true sense, which flourishes by the day with utmost sincerity.

The rhythm in his paintings is noticeable for he can distinguish many hues of a single color. The themes are meditations of the world that he dwells in - of dragons, galaxies, birds, flowers, sea creatures, dinosaurs and so on. These subjects have a tendency to evolve, pursuant to fancies of a young mind. The artistic narratives achieved greater proportions with subjects like the grandiloquent Big Bang, awe-inducing black holes, imaginative aliens and even invention of his dinosaur species like the 'Electrosaurus' that radiate currents in multitude of colours.

The said, the style of painting is acquiring certain etiquette. By spreading the colour on his body first before pouring it on the canvas, Advait gauges the tone and texture and then begins organizing them. His vivid use of colours - the bold splatter and dreamy framework - is a reflection of his actions, his keen streak of arranging and shaping things affects the way he spreads the colours on canvas.

Nano Lopez

Nano Lopez

Meet bronze sculpture artist Nano Lopez. Look closely at Nano Lopez's sculptures and you will discover the bright colors of a Colombian market place, animals precariously laden with pots, fruits, vegetables, birds, bees, geckos, Pre-Colombian and contemporary artifacts. Look closer still and discover a deep respect for life, clearly observed, where everything, even a mischievous goat balanced on a pile of cast away tires is amazing. Nano Lopez is an artist to watch.

Nano Lopez is an artist gifted with the rare ability to see the world as a child sees it, with exploration, wonder, and creativity. He is deeply fascinated by the sometimes troubling mysteries of life and its inherent struggles.

In his artistic process, Nano integrates organic textures and synthetic, human made objects into his bronzes to create pieces of art that reflect the same depth and richness he sees in the world around him. Although colorful and whimsical, Nano’s work is anything but child’s play and invites careful, sustained viewing. The rich and intricate textures and bright colors are subtlety evocative of his native Colombia and of other Latin art, but his depth of understanding and free associations transcend culture and time. They describe a world beyond the borders of ordinary maps where an unfettered imagination allow nature, science, folklore and modern industrialism to exist seamlessly together.

His work invites us to look at the world more carefully and discover for ourselves the rich interconnections of life. It reminds us that the miracle of life exists at all levels, from the patterns on a leaf to the profound mysteries of the universe.

Signature Style: Whimsical Surrealism & Fantasy filled with intense detail & light-hearted sarcasm.

Artistic Statement: While attending school in Italy, I was inspired by the old Renaissance masters who were able to carve the human form with perfect detail and emotional depth. This style initially charged my interest to begin ceramic sculpting in 2010. I wanted to capture hidden feelings and express people in their most private state, both mentally and physically in keeping with a classical style.

Born in 1967 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Fabian had a difficult childhood. His father owned bordellos and nightclubs that were illegal. He also was a gambler. To this day, Fabian remembers the police coming to their home looking for his father who would try to escape through the back door. “So many times he went to jail. I remember when I was very young going to police stations and looking for him.” Eventually his father gave up the business, lost everything and lapsed into depression.
